TERRAVIEW - Rural Resources (English)
Details
The rural women spend considerable time collecting fuelwood. These women and their infants also suffer from exposure to high concentrations of toxic smoke arising from burning of fuelwood and dungcakes. Indiscriminate irrigation has led to water-logging and depletion of groundwater. Availability of drinking water in the rural areas is still a major problem, resulting in health hazards and enormous losses of life. This film carries five short duration capsules on: fuelwood crisis, livestock, Green Revolution, irrigation, drinking water for rural households.
