Global warming and storms
What on earth is global warming? Well, it is the increase in the average
temperature of the earth. Our earth is not well, and if we used a giant
thermometer to check its temperature, we would see that over the last fifty
years, it has been slowly getting warmer and warmer.
The rise in the emission
of greenhouse gases is
causing temperatures
to soar, contributing to
global warming.
Most glaciers all
over the earth are
shrinking.
What makes our earth so ill? …
The main trouble is the increasing amount of greenhouse gases.
These are the gases that in normal amounts are necessary to keep the
earth warm. Without them, our earth would be an icy planet.
But too much of these greenhouse gases in the atmosphere trap heat
and raise the temperature to a level that is harmful for life on the earth.
Greenhouse gases are increasing because of various human activities like
burning fossil fuels for energy and transport, and cutting forests.
