I live on rocky slopes of the central
Troodos and Tripylos mountains
in Cyprus, in rocky areas around
water, which are dominated by
golden oak and Calabrian pine. So I
get enough shade. The weather has
to be right for my family members
to live for a year or two. If there is
enough rain, we can survive the
drought and live for two years.
Rockcress falling
Today, only a few hundred of my family
are alive. These surviving members live in
three groups. My family is dying because of
the rapid decrease in the area and quality of
our habitat. One of the groups is threatened
even more because of the military exercises
conducted within and around its home.
